Handong Global University (President Soon-Heung Chang) hosted an online-offline joint workshop on Smart City and ICT education under the theme of sustainable development in Myanmar with Burmese students in and out of the country from May 13th to the 15th.
In addition to Burmese students studying in Korea, 40 people attended this workshop, including students from Japan, Myanmar, Congo, Nigeria, and Handong Global University.
This workshop program included lectures such as ‘Smart City and Sustainable Transportation’ (Prof. Deok-Soo Seo of the School of Spatial Environment System Engineering), ‘Interaction with Human Robots for Sustainable Development in Developing Countries’ (Professor Won-Hyung Lee of the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering), and a special lecture by Hak-Yeong Kim, the head of the Myanmar branch of the Asia Exchange Association.

Professor Deok-Soo Seo of Handong Global University, a lecturer in this workshop, said, “I am happy to have the opportunity to draw a vision while listening to the voices of local students through this event.”
Meanwhile, Handong Global University is conducting joint seminars and camps by interacting with universities in Myanmar as part of UNESCO UNITWIN’s Myanmar joint curriculum program.
